Our seniors are leaving the town due to a lack of accessible and suitable housing. This exodus is not inevitable—it is an issue we can collectively address.

The housing stock is aging, and the lack of available land hinders any form of renewal. It is time to meet the needs of families, young adults, and seniors with diverse and high-quality living environments.
A weakened commercial fabric
Local businesses are struggling in the face of rising online commerce and an undiversified economy. We need a clear strategy to revitalize our economic hubs by focusing on innovation and proximity.

- Improve the stormwater drainage system and prioritize areas with recurring issues.
- Promote active mobility by providing safe walking and cycling infrastructure.

- Develop and deploy a Municipal Asset Management Policy and Plan, along with a Preventive Maintenance Program
- Upgrade water supply and sanitary networks using durable and resilient materials.
- Identify areas at risk of backflow and accelerate targeted improvements to strengthen the stormwater system.
- Implement eco-friendly solutions such as sponge parks and vegetated swales to better manage stormwater, reduce flood risks, and enhance urban greenery.
- Expand the network of safe, interconnected pedestrian paths and bike lanes.
- Improve safety at pedestrian crossings and intersections, especially near schools (lighting, signage, infrastructure upgrades).
- Enhance access to the river and green spaces (trails, docks, observation areas).
- Modernize and diversify park facilities: playgrounds, water play areas, sports courts (volleyball, pickleball, etc.).

“Our electoral platform proactively addresses the Rosemère Golf Course issue. We recognize the importance some groups place on fully preserving the golf course and applaud their commitment. However, the Town must reconcile its environmental goals with budgetary constraints, an urgent need for housing, and a complex legal context that has already generated $1.4 million in legal fees.
We therefore favour a balanced solution that combines protection of green spaces, appropriate residential development, and financial viability for the community. Our approach aims for a comprehensive compromise, ensuring the preservation of natural spaces, the creation of relevant housing, and the Town’s financial health, while coherently and integrally addressing the development of the Regional Hub – Place Rosemère and the Rosemère Golf course – to create an harmonious and sustainable living environment.”
