Rosemère Together
For a strong, fair, and forward-looking town!
Rosemère stands at a crossroads. Our town, rich in nature, history, and community, now faces real challenges: stagnant population growth, pressure on municipal finances, declining local commerce, and aging urban infrastructure.

For Mayor
Sophie M. Cardinal
Sophie M. Cardinal - For Mayor
✨Let Me Introduce Myself: Sophie M. Cardinal — A Committed Candidate for Mayor of Rosemère
I was born in 1973 at 211 Chemin de la Grande-Côte, right here in Rosemère. I grew up in this town, and today, I’m raising my three children here, aged 20, 19, and 10. For me, Rosemère is not just a place — it’s home. I deeply cherish its peaceful, village-like charm, its abundance of green spaces, and the strong sense of belonging that unites our community.
Professionally, I have a background that is both diverse and international. I hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce Nice-Sophia Antipolis, a Law degree from the University of Bologna in Italy, and an MBA. I am also an accredited civil and commercial mediator. I have been practicing law for 25 years, with a specialization in litigation. I chose this profession because I’ve always been driven by a sincere desire to make a real and positive difference in people’s lives.
A defining moment in my career was my legal internship at the European Commission in Brussels. I was selected from among 3,500 candidates worldwide for one of only 600 available positions. That experience gave me a unique perspective on international law and public governance.
I speak French, English, Spanish, and Italian fluently, which allows me to connect easily with our increasingly diverse population.
My commitment goes beyond my professional life. I have been a foster parent for youth through the DPJ, as well as for the Mira Foundation and CatChat Rosemère — concrete examples of my dedication and my deep desire to help others.
My values are integrity, active listening, honesty, and respect. I believe strongly in the power of collaboration and open dialogue. If I have the honour of representing you as Mayor of Rosemère, I am committed to being a faithful voice for each and every one of you — to protecting the exceptional quality of life in our town and to promoting thoughtful, responsible, and sustainable development.
I bring to the table my expertise, my sensitivity, and my full commitment to our beautiful community.

“For me, shaping Rosemère’s future means combining listening, rigour, and vision —
while always keeping people and quality of life at the heart of every decision.”
A resident of Rosemère for ten years, I fulfilled a long-held dream by settling in this peaceful, green town. Every day, the natural surroundings bring me balance and inspiration in my work as a litigation lawyer and arbitrator.
Originally from Italy and raised in Quebec, I’ve been married for 35 years and have two children. I value family, community, and solidarity.
As a specialist in co-ownership law, I founded my own firm and co-founded the Centre de médiation et arbitrage en copropriété (CMAC), which I now lead. My experience gives me a deep understanding of residential development, urban planning and good governance.
I want to see Rosemère grow intelligently—with well-designed, sustainable projects that respect its character and serve all generations. I am especially dedicated to supporting seniors in remaining active and supported in their community.
I am running to contribute to a structured, inclusive, and forward-thinking Rosemère, with transparency, rigor, and care.

Pascal Beaudoin Dinh
✨ Meet Pascal Beaudoin Dinh, candidate with our team!
I’m a citizen, a father and a Rosemère local — simply concerned about the direction our town is heading.
In August 2024, my family and my parents were directly affected by the floods. That tragedy opened my eyes: our town is at risk, and we need to act. Between costly disasters, a multi-million-dollar lawsuit over the golf course, and questionable decisions about rental development, Rosemère is sliding into financial trouble.
I’m running to be the voice of the citizens — to keep you informed with transparency and to stand up for the values that make Rosemère so special: its green spaces, its safe neighborhoods, and its strong sense of community.
As a registered nurse at the CISSS in Laval, I spend my days building connections, listening, and supporting people. I grew up here. I worked at the day camp and the CHSLD, and my parents still live here. I know what Rosemère once was — and I know what it can become again.
I dream of a town that values its homeowners, cares for its seniors, offers a day camp for children, and commits to smart, sustainable, and responsible development.
The time has come for us, the citizens, to reclaim our place in the decision-making process.
In the municipal election, let’s make our voices heard. For Rosemère. For all of us.
Sylvain Savard
Sylvain Savard
✨Meet Sylvain Savard, candidate with Ensemble Rosemère Together!
For Rosemère. For us.
I’m not a career politician.
I’m an engaged citizen, a dad, an entrepreneur, and a proud lover of Rosemère .
I settled here in 1998, drawn by its greenery , its peacefulness , and the warmth of its neighbourhoods. Since then, this town has become much more than a place to live — it’s my home , my family’s home, and the heart of my community involvement.
For 24 years, I led a company in the aviation industry , bringing together over 500 people around a shared vision: discipline, innovation, and sustainable development . But the role that defines me best is that of a neighbour and local citizen.
As an active member of the community, I contribute out of passion and conviction. I supported a basketball club for 12 years and spearheaded a cooperative housing project for our seniors .
I’m not here with pre-packaged political promises, but with an open hand, a listening ear, and a genuine will to take action.
I want to co-create, to bring to life projects that bring us together and reflect who we are.
I’m here to offer concrete solutions to the challenges facing Rosemère — from flooding , to costly lawsuits , to the lack of real dialogue between the Town and its citizens.
What I’m proposing is a different kind of municipal politics:
- Grounded in participatory dialogue and citizen-driven innovation
- Committed to the environment and living well together
- Bold enough to dream of a town worthy of our children — and of our values
Together, let’s make our voices heard.
For Rosemère, for us, for our collective future.

Together, for Rosemère!
My name is Damélie, and I’ve had the joy of living in Rosemère since I was a little girl — it’s been my home for the past 25 years
As a mom of two young children, I’m committed to making sure our town remains vibrant, welcoming, and accessible for all families. I was lucky to grow up surrounded by nature, sunshine, and beautiful parks… and I want that same kind of environment for my kids
Professionally, I hold a bachelor's degree in business administration. After a few years in the banking sector, I decided to put my skills to work for a cause close to my heart: I now work in philanthropy at the Montreal Heart Institute Foundation
I'm running for municipal council because I truly love Rosemère. I want to help shape a town that reflects our families: green, dynamic, welcoming, and forward-looking
I look forward to meeting you, chatting… and working together as a team!

René Villeneuve
✨Meet René Villeneuve, candidate with Ensemble Rosemère Together!
René is a proud dad of two and has been living in Rosemère since 2004. Always smiling, always ready to lend a hand .
With 40 years of experience at Bombardier Aerospace in quality assurance, René knows how to manage projects, coordinate teams, and find solutions.
For the past 8 years, he’s been a city councillor: urban planning , environment , road safety… he knows the issues and always keeps citizens at the heart of his decisions.
What drives him? Keeping Rosemère welcoming, green, and people-focused — a great place to live.
René has also been involved with local families, including at CPE La Petite Ardoise and Alpha School.
We’re truly proud to have him on our team to keep Rosemère moving forward!
Shelley Townsend
Shelley Townsend
✨ Meet Shelley Townsend – Candidate for Council with Ensemble Rosemère Together
Rosemère has been my home since 2003 — it’s where I raised my family, built friendships, and fell in love with the community’s natural beauty and welcoming spirit
I’m running for municipal councilor because I care deeply about protecting what makes Rosemère so special, while helping it grow in a thoughtful and sustainable way.
With over 20 years of experience in real estate development and a background in interior design, I’ve led eco-friendly, people-focused projects — including work on transit-oriented development. I also serve on the board of La Croisée des Générations, a local cooperative housing initiative that supports both seniors and young families
Rosemère deserves more than a collection of independent elected officials: it needs a cohesive, coherent team driven by a clear will to serve the common good. Ensemble Rosemère Together: a team guided by a shared vision, united by common values, and determined to act effectively… and with heart.

The verdict
A model that no longer works

An aging population with few solutions
Our seniors are leaving the town due to a lack of accessible and suitable housing. This exodus is not inevitable—it is an issue we can collectively address.

A stagnant residential development
The housing stock is aging, and the lack of available land hinders any form of renewal. It is time to meet the needs of families, young adults, and seniors with diverse and high-quality living environments.

A weakened commercial fabric
Local businesses are struggling in the face of rising online commerce and an undiversified economy. We need a clear strategy to revitalize our economic hubs by focusing on innovation and proximity.

Infrastructure under pressure
Our water, transportation, and water management networks are aging and inadequate. Demand is increasing, but investments are failing to keep pace.

Threatened municipal finances
Costs are rising (environmental standards, maintenance, services, etc.) while revenues lag behind. The current model is unsustainable in the short and medium term.

About the Rosemère Golf course issue…
“Our electoral platform proactively addresses the Rosemère Golf Course issue. We recognize the importance some groups place on fully preserving the golf course and applaud their commitment. However, the Town must reconcile its environmental goals with budgetary constraints, an urgent need for housing, and a complex legal context that has already generated $1.4 million in legal fees.
We therefore favour a balanced solution that combines protection of green spaces, appropriate residential development, and financial viability for the community. Our approach aims for a comprehensive compromise, ensuring the preservation of natural spaces, the creation of relevant housing, and the Town’s financial health, while coherently and integrally addressing the development of the Regional Hub – Place Rosemère and the Rosemère Golf course – to create an harmonious and sustainable living environment.”

What this means for you
- You benefit from well-maintained parks, woodlands, and ecological corridors.
- Your neighborhoods are greener and more resilient to climate hazards.
- Biodiversity and sensitive habitats are protected.
Pillar 3
